Francis Anani
Kente weaver, Ghana


Francis Anani learned Kente weaving from Mr. Godfred Ahiator in his hometown of Yelibato, which is between Agbozume and Denu in the Volta region of Ghana. He now weaves in Nungua, near Accra, and also teaches weaving. You can find his shop, called "Winsa Enterprise", near Aba House in Nungua. He weaves Ewe Kente, stoles, cloths and strips. He can weave traditional designs, as well as incorporating custom designs, and takes international orders. He teaches classes to individuals, groups, and schools.
