Sammy Asare is an industrious young Ghanaian artist. Action Tie and Dye, his shop in Odumase Krobo, is easily spotted from the road. Just look for beautiful tie and dye, batik, tritik and other examples of dyed fabric techniques. In addition you will find handmade soap, body creams, silk screened T-shirts, graphic art services and materials for doing your own dyeing.

Sammy is a wonderful teacher. He has students at his shop and often teaches workshops at Cross Cultural Collaborative in Nungua. When not teaching, Sammy is also a student, studying dyeing techniques with artisans from Niger and other African countries. These are techniques that he adds to his visual arts degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi.
