Emmanuel Tordzro is a Ghanaian painter, born in 1966 he has been a professional artist for 13 years. His acrylic works, he states, are mostly on the subjects of "chieftancy, music and dance, and the dignity of labour in the traditional African society". For his main tools he has come out with the unique idea of cutting used phone cards into desired shapes and sizes, with which he applies paint to achieve the desired effects.
Emmanuel's work is compelling because it is spontaneous and you can "see" the crowd moving. His images are not quite abstract and not quite real. They pull you in by giving hints and making you search for the story.
