My interest in African art began many years ago when I was a student at Rhode Island School of Design. Through my career as a crafts teacher and potter I always returned to African art for inspiration. Eventually I went to Ghana to research and study traditional crafts and from that my company Aba Tours was born. We focus on taking people to live and work with the African artists/craftspeople. Now most of my time is spent introducing others to African art, but I still do a line of paper collage greeting cards because it gives me an outlet for creative urges.
