Eunice Wadu (1965 - ) decided she wanted to paint after seeing her husband, Sane Wadu’s fervor
for the media. Her works are social commentaries on the lives of women in Kenya. While using more
subdued colors than her husband, her message is communicated with a simplicity of line and
directness that is very strong. Gossip on Wire depicts idle women passing their time talking
about this and that because they have nothing better to do. The moral of the story being, “It is
better to occupy yourself than to just go around gossiping.”
